SAnDS are pleased to announce the development of the dynamic video wall at the Metronet Fault Reporting Centre. This application provides a visual interface into the Asset Management core systems of Metronet Rail ltd.

The application is used to display incidents and resource allocation along the Metronet Rail ltd maintained sections of the London Underground Tube Map. The application provides a powerful graphic display indicating immediately where a fault is located as recorded by the Asset Management System - Ellipse.

Easy to use

By gathering the data from a number of sources and displaying this information in a pictorial format, Bomber Command saves time and effort in searching through several applications. All information is up-to-date and any changes in the source data are immediately reflected on the display. The interface is fully configurable and users can decide what information is displayed and customise their own schemes and settings.

Bomber Command is a highly interactive system and all items can be moved, edited, expanded and hidden. The system supports multiple users and any data changes are instantly cascaded to all users. As a web-based solution it is accessible via a secure login from almost any location.

Annotations can be added to the display highlighting problem areas or other concerns. Reminders and warnings can be set against any location. The visibility of these annotations amongst the user community can be fully controlled.

Integrated and risk-free

Bomber Command integrates with the principle Asset Management System and several other remote data sources, which enables otherwise difficult-to-access information to be immediately visible.

There is no risk of data redundancy as duplicate data is not stored by the application. Connections to the data source applications are minimal requiring a single connection regardless of the number of end users.

Using the latest technology

Bomber Command is a secure web-based application. Developed using Microsoft .net, Microsoft Silverlight and Microsoft SQL Server, it utilises some of the latest technologies to provide a responsive and dynamic environment.

Bomber Command is developed on a robust scalable platform using the SAnDS object model. The application’s network fingerprint is small with minimal data being transferred.
